Lockspot for iPhone
Draw a zone.
Lock in.
Trace the outline of the library, your dorm or the science building. Walk in and the apps that get you lock themselves. Walk out and they're back.

How it works
Set it up once. Then just show up.
-
Draw your spot.
Trace the library, your dorm or a whole building with one finger, then give it a name. Lockspot keeps your outline, not a circle.
-
Pick what gets you.
Choose apps, whole categories or websites in Apple's Screen Time list. Your iPhone gives Lockspot anonymous tokens instead of names, so it never learns which apps they are.
-
Walk in. Locked.
Walk into your spot and those apps lock themselves. Walk out and they're back. Nothing to remember to start.
With Lockspot open it switches in seconds. Closed, give it a minute or three.
Give each spot a plan.
Write an if-then line like “When I'm here, I start with the problem set.” Lockspot shows it on the map screen while you're there, and on the lock-in screen when you lock in there.
Your shape, not a circle.
Circles are lazy, and your library isn't round. Trace the real outline with one finger, and the café down the block stays yours.
The dotted ring just wakes your phone up. Your shape decides what gets blocked.
Your line has a soft edge: you count as inside up to about 15 m (50 ft) past it, and as outside once you're about 25 m (80 ft) plus GPS error beyond it. A café right across a narrow street can still get caught. Zones can't tell floors apart, so a zone around the library covers every floor.
No zone needed
Not at your spot? Hold to lock in.
Hold the lock for one second and you're locked in, wherever you are. No location needed. Ending takes a longer hold, so quitting is a decision, not a reflex.
- A 25-minute ring. Fill it and a meme drop unlocks in your Recap (up to 12 a week).
- Lock in inside a zone and your plan for that spot shows here too.
- Stuck? Tiny next steps and a 30-second breather.
Just a demo. Nothing on your device gets blocked.
Meme drops
We roast the apps. Never you.
Every 25 minutes you stay locked in unlocks an original meme drop in your Recap. Up to 12 a week, with a fresh set every Monday. They roast the feed, the algorithm and the group chat, never the person holding the phone.
While you're locked in, the padlock keeps you company with a new line every few seconds.
- Phone face down. We've got the rest.
- The algorithm is bored. Good.
- Quiet phone, loud progress.

Streaks and Recap
A streak that forgives.
Lock in 25 minutes in a day and your streak grows. Zone time counts too. Miss a day and the weekly freeze covers it, automatically. Miss two in a row and you start fresh. Forgiving, not a pushover.
Today never counts against you until it's over.

Freeze: used, back Monday
How the freeze works
- Monday: locked in
- Tuesday: locked in
- Wednesday: missed, covered by the freeze
- Thursday: locked in
- Friday: locked in
- Saturday: still to come
- Sunday: still to come
Receipts for your week.
Recap shows how long you locked in, where, and on which days. Share it as text if you're proud of it. It stays on your phone unless you send it.
This week on Lockspot: 11h 40m locked in. 12 day streak. The apps did not enjoy it.
Sample week. Yours will look different.
Privacy
Your spots stay on your phone.
Your zones, your location, your app picks, your streak and your recap live on your iPhone. They're never sent to us or to anyone else. No ads, no tracking.
The map is Apple Maps, so Apple serves the map tiles under its own privacy policy. Your recap and invites go out only when you share them yourself.

Two things do leave your phone, because a membership needs them: your account and your purchase status.
Location is checked on your iPhone to see if you're inside a zone. Lockspot never sends it anywhere, not even to your account.
Screen Time gives Lockspot anonymous tokens, not app names. It can't see what you use or for how long.
Your account is an ID from Sign in with Apple, or your email address if you sign in with a code. Supabase, Lockspot's sign-in service, holds it, and Resend delivers the code emails. RevenueCat, its subscription service, keeps your purchase status. Both are used only to run Lockspot, never for ads, and you can delete your account in the app at any time.
This website is the same: no cookies, no analytics, no trackers.
Fair questions.
Something else? The support page has fixes and a way to reach us.
What does Lockspot cost?
Lockspot is free to download, and using it takes a Lockspot Pro membership. The yearly plan is $29.99 a year and starts with 7 days free if you're a new subscriber. The monthly plan is $6.99 a month, with no trial.
Those are US prices. The App Store sets the price in your country, so it can be different there. Apple bills your Apple Account, and the membership renews until you cancel.
How do I cancel?
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions > Lockspot > Cancel Subscription. In Lockspot, Settings > Account > Manage subscription takes you to the same place.
To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before your trial or your current period ends. Lockspot keeps working until the date Apple shows there. After that, your zones pause and every block lifts.
Can I get a refund?
Apple handles every payment, so refunds go through Apple. Follow Apple's refund steps; Apple makes the decision.
Is there an account?
Yes. You make one during setup with Sign in with Apple, or with your email address and a 6-digit code. There's no password. Signing in with Apple doesn't give Lockspot your name or email.
Your account holds your membership. Your zones, your location and your app picks stay on your phone.
How do I restore my membership on a new iPhone?
Sign in to Lockspot the same way you did before, then tap Restore on the membership screen or in Settings > Account. Restore looks for Lockspot Pro on the Apple Account you use for the App Store.
How do I delete my account?
In Lockspot, open Settings > Account > Delete account. If you haven't subscribed, it's also under the Account button at the top right of the membership screen.
Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription, so Lockspot offers to manage that first. Then it deletes your account and your membership record and signs you out.
Is it on Android or iPad?
Not right now. Lockspot is just for iPhone. The support page lists the software version it needs.
What does it need from me?
An account and a Lockspot Pro membership. Screen Time access, so it can block the apps you pick. For zones, location set to Always with Precise Location on, so zones work while the app is closed. Without location you can still hold to lock in.
Does Lockspot track me?
No. Your iPhone checks your location against your zones right on the phone, and your location never leaves it, not even to your account. Lockspot has no ads, doesn't track you across apps or websites, and doesn't measure how you use the app.
Can Lockspot see which apps I use?
No. When you pick apps in Apple's Screen Time list, your iPhone gives Lockspot anonymous tokens. Lockspot can block those apps but can't read their names or your usage.
How fast does a zone switch on?
With Lockspot open, within seconds. With it closed, usually within 1 to 3 minutes of walking in or out. Indoors, GPS can drift about 15 m, so draw your zone a bit bigger than the building. Zones need to cover at least about 2,000 m², roughly 45 m (150 ft) on each side, and they can't tell floors apart: a zone around the library covers every floor. Low Power Mode, or turning off Background App Refresh, can pause zones. Opening Lockspot catches up.
Does it work without Wi-Fi or data?
Mostly. Zone checks and blocking happen on your iPhone and don't use the internet, and Lockspot remembers your membership, so being offline for a while won't lock you out. Signing in, buying or restoring a membership, and drawing a new zone on Apple Maps need a connection. Location can be less exact with weak signal. Hold to lock in works anywhere.
What happens when I open a blocked app?
You'll see Apple's Screen Time screen saying it's blocked. The memes live in Lockspot: in your Recap and on the lock-in screen.
What if I really need an app?
You can always get out. Hold to end a lock-in, walk out of the zone, delete the zone, or turn off Lockspot's Screen Time access in Settings. None of these needs a membership. It's a self-control tool, not a cage, so don't count on it in an emergency.
Does it drain my battery?
It's built to be light. Your iPhone wakes Lockspot when you get near a zone, at the dotted ring, instead of tracking you all day. We haven't published battery tests, so if you notice a drain, tell us on the support page.
Can I lock in with friends?
You can send a friend an invite from the Squad tab. You each lock in on your own phone, with your own membership, and compare streaks yourselves.
Can parents use it to control a kid's phone?
No. Lockspot is for the person holding the phone, and that person can always turn it off. It isn't built for monitoring or restricting anyone else.
